Offering Same Day ExamsOphthalmic Assistant/Technician Needed For Our Team
Applicants must have a friendly, professional demeanor and be able to operate or learn to operate a variety of ophthalmic equipment with precision. Prior ophthalmology or optometry experience preferred.
The Ophthalmic Technician Responsibilities:
- Initial work up of patients such as gathering chief complaint, ocular and systemic history, past family and social history and complete review of systems.
- Measuring visual acuities, visual field testing, intraocular pressures, keratometry, refraction, assisting with in-office procedures and phone triage.
- Scribe in electronic medical records format to document the patient visit and examination.
The Ophthalmic Technician Qualifications:
- Possess at least one year of experience in a clinical setting.
- Experience as an ophthalmic scribe or technician preferred.
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be a well-organized, team-player with great attention to detail.
- Highly energetic with positive attitude.
